Susan and Pierre Tinel are Professional Ballroom Competitors.
They are registered with the NDCA (National Dance Council of America) and the WDC (World Dance Council) as Professional Competitors and Pro-Am Teachers.
For the past 15 years they have competed all over the United States and abroad and have won many events like the Hawaii Star Ball, The Pacific DanceSport Campionships, the Galaxy Ball and more...
They were for a long time the only couple in the US competing in 3 categories out of 4:
International Standard Waltz, Tango, Viennese, Foxtrot Quickstep
International Latin Cha-cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive
American Smooth Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese.
They are now focusing on International Standard competitively and start to be ranking among the best. They were ranking 213th in the World last season.
You can often see them Dancing throughout the country with their popular "45 minutes/ 14 Dances show.
Established in San Diego, California Susan and Pierre instruct ballroom dancing to all: from beginners to the advanced competitors. They teach International and American style but also all the club dances like the Salsa, Argentine Tango, Merengue etc.
They both train and dance with their students in Pro-Am competition (when a Professional dances with their Amateurs student in competition) and many of their students have won prestigious prizes, making them the pride of this couple.
They have vowed to promote the Social, Physical and Mental benefits of Ballroom Dancing.
